Backup power solutions for homes and businesses

Backup Power When You Need It

Oklahoma weather can knock out power for hours or days. A properly installed generator keeps your home running - or at least keeps critical systems like refrigeration, heat, and medical equipment operating. We install whole-home backup generators, portable generator connections, and everything in between. All installations meet NEC requirements and pass inspection.

Whole Home Backup Generators

Standby generators kick on automatically when power goes out. Powered by natural gas or propane, they can run your entire house indefinitely.

  • • Generac, Kohler, Cummins installation
  • • Generator sizing and load calculation
  • • Concrete pad and mounting
  • • Automatic transfer switch installation
  • • Natural gas or propane connection coordination
  • • System testing and commissioning

Automatic Transfer Switches

Transfer switches safely disconnect your home from the grid and connect to generator power. Automatic models do this within seconds of detecting an outage.

  • • Automatic transfer switch installation
  • • Whole-house or load-managed systems
  • • Generator panel integration
  • • Manual transfer switch options
  • • Essential circuit selection
  • • Proper grounding and bonding

Manual Transfer Switches

If you have a portable generator, a manual transfer switch lets you safely connect it to your home's circuits. Cheaper than automatic, but you have to be home to switch it over.

  • • Manual transfer panel installation
  • • Circuit selection (typically 6-10 circuits)
  • • Generator inlet installation
  • • Proper labeling and instructions
  • • Backfeed prevention

Gen Plug with Interlock

The most economical portable generator connection. An interlock kit prevents your main breaker and generator breaker from both being on - eliminating the risk of backfeeding power to the grid.

  • • Generator inlet box installation
  • • Interlock kit installation on main panel
  • • Generator breaker installation
  • • Proper grounding
  • • Clear operating instructions

Choosing the Right Generator Solution

Whole-Home Standby Generator ($10k-$20k+)

Best for: People who travel frequently, need medical equipment powered 24/7, or want complete home coverage. Starts automatically, runs on gas line or propane tank, can power entire house indefinitely.

Manual Transfer Switch ($1,500-$3,000)

Best for: Homeowners with a portable generator who want to safely power selected circuits. You choose 6-10 critical circuits (fridge, furnace, some lights). Manual operation - you plug in and flip switches.

Interlock Kit ($800-$1,200)

Best for: Budget-conscious homeowners with a portable generator. Powers your whole panel through the generator inlet, but you manually manage which breakers to turn on based on generator capacity. Simple and code-compliant.

Generator Repairs & Maintenance

We service and repair standby generators - though most repairs require the manufacturer's technician. We handle the electrical side: transfer switch problems, wiring issues, and connection repairs.

  • • Transfer switch troubleshooting and repair
  • • Generator connection repairs
  • • Control wiring diagnosis
  • • Electrical component replacement
  • • Annual system testing
