Grid-Tie, Off-Grid & Battery Backup

Solar Panel Installation

Oklahoma sits on some of the best solar potential in the country — about 230 sunny days a year. Dolf Electrical handles the full solar install: site assessment, panel layout, inverter, racking, wiring, and OG&E interconnection paperwork. Grid-tie, off-grid, or hybrid with battery backup — we build it the right way.

What We Install

  • Grid-tie solar systems with net metering through OG&E
  • Off-grid systems with battery banks for cabins, shops, and remote sites
  • Hybrid systems with Tesla Powerwall or Enphase IQ batteries
  • String inverters and microinverter setups (Enphase, SolarEdge)
  • Roof-mount and ground-mount panel arrays
  • Electrical panel upgrades when needed to support solar tie-in
  • City permits, utility paperwork, and final inspections
  • Workmanship warranty plus manufacturer warranties on equipment

Why Solar in Oklahoma Makes Sense

Oklahoma electric rates have risen significantly over the past decade. A typical 8-10 kW residential system in the OKC metro pays for itself in 8–12 years and produces power for 25+ years after that. Add a Tesla Powerwall and you ride out tornado-season outages without a gas generator. We don't sell financing schemes — we install the system and walk you through the OG&E paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need permission from OG&E?
Yes. Grid-tie solar systems require an interconnection agreement with your utility. We handle all OG&E paperwork including the application, system specs, and final commissioning inspection.
How long does solar installation take?
Most residential systems take 1–3 days of on-site work. The longer timeline is permits and utility approval — usually 4–8 weeks total from contract to power-on.
Can I add battery backup later?
Yes, if we plan for it. We wire systems with battery-ready inverters when requested so you can add a Powerwall or Enphase battery in the future without rewiring.
Does my roof need to be replaced first?
If your roof is over 15 years old, we recommend replacing it before solar — pulling panels to re-roof later costs real money. We'll be honest about your roof's condition during the site visit.
